Your strategy gives every finding more meaning
Octave observes patterns across buyer conversations and external market trends through the lens of your context graph. The evidence shows where your strategy matches reality, and where it needs to change over time.
This relationship between ontology and observation provides high-resolution revenue insights that go beyond typical segment and persona filters. Understand your buyers not just by their firmographic attributes, but by their qualitative pains, goals, business constraints, and more. The context graph can also self-heal because Octave sees where the GTM strategy modeled in your ontology matches reality, and where it may need an adjustment.
How it works
01
Integrations: Connect the evidence across your business
Connect your call recorder, CRM, and other platforms through native integrations. Bring in additional data through API, webhooks, or data warehouse sync.
02
Interpretation: Identify who’s speaking and what’s being sold
Octave determines whether a conversation concerns a net-new purchase, an expansion, or something else. Then it maps each conversation, email, or deal update to the relevant entities in your context graph. This includes the personas the speakers map to, their company’s segment, the products and features discussed, buying triggers mentioned, objections that came up, and more.
03
Annotation: Label findings with the meaning behind the words
Next, Octave uses 150+ out-of-the-box extractors to search for common GTM topics being discussed – as well as any custom extractors you create to answer questions specific to your business.
It breaks down the conversation into snippets, labeling relevant concepts, such as pains being experienced, concerns being addressed, capabilities being offered, outcomes being desired.
If you change an entity in your context graph, Octave reannotates historical conversations to include that change. For example, if you launch a new feature and add it to your context, Octave can take another look at closed-lost deals to see which ones have expressed related needs, so you can reach out again.
04
Insights: Follow the relationships to deeper understanding
Multi-hop reasoning allows Octave to piece together findings that traverse your context graph. This helps you understand where you win deals, and how to apply that again.
For example: Do CMOs at financial services companies who describe a particular pain tend to share a common objection? Which reframes and responses work best?
These insights come to life in deal execution recommendations for sales, content generation for marketing, and reports for leadership — including win/loss analysis, ICP insights, competitive intelligence, customer voice reports, and more.
05
Learning loops: Continuously refine your GTM strategy to match what works in the market today
Octave is always comparing your context graph to reality. It suggests updates when it detects a significant difference. This is how your team stays on top of new competitors, changing buyer objections, and the language that moves deals forward in lookalike cohorts.
Teammates with context manager permissions can approve, reject, or edit suggestions to the graph in the app or via MCP, or Octave can self-heal automatically.
06
Market intel: Connect trends to what your buyers care about
Octave also monitors competitor news, market trends, and trends in your customers’ markets. For example, when a competitor launches a new capability, Octave can add it to the competitor’s entity with the recommended counterpositioning based on your product’s features.
